Baby Jack was born prematurely on December 13th with Downs Syndrome and s/pentrotero cutaneous fistula. At the age of two months he has undergone 3 major operations similar to a colostomy . He's at home now but faces yet another operation. DJ had to take a layoff to be able to aide Nancy in the changing of his dressings which takes place every 2 hours 24/7.
heartfelt THANKYOU

Wow,

I’m writing this on behalf of the Hallock family, who are consumed with the care taking of Baby Jack, and the committee who organized the Baby Jack Benefit.

We want to thank everyone, from the VFW Post#8440 for donating the use of their hall, Kenny and Deb Irving for the DJ services, to Bob McCarthy for setting up the web site,  to all the businesses and individuals, in and around our community that so generously donated items to be raffled off, the Bridgeport Lyons Club for their donation and help in the clean up, and especially to all who attended and those that bought tickets and didn’t attend, in making this an outstanding success.

In this time of economic uncertainty its amazing how people will come together to help other individuals, especially when it involves the life of a child. Words cannot express the awe inspired gratitude felt by the family. These parents were not looking for outside help, just doing what all parents MUST do, taking care of their baby, devoting their lives so that he can have one.

Your caring, giving a portion of what you have to help another in a time when  stresses are so great, is so amazing. It makes even the most cynical person take a step back to reevaluate just how much compassion we have for one another.

That is why I started this letter out the way I did. It was the only word that I felt justified Baby Jacks Benefit….WOW.

So here's a heartfelt THANKYOU to all from Don, Nancy, Jessica, and especially Baby Jack.
